Choose deployment around the risk, not the vendor
Research organisations have different intellectual-property, residency, integration and operational constraints. Adroit supports more than one infrastructure model.
| Model | Suitable when | Operational approach |
|---|---|---|
| Managed cloud | Rapid access and distributed collaboration are the priority. | Managed hosting and platform updates. |
| On premises | Compound IP, contractual obligations or security policy require local control. | Platform and data run within the organisation's infrastructure. |
| Hybrid | Different data classes or workflows require different controls. | Sensitive components remain local while approved services support collaboration. |
Architecture questions to resolve
- Data residency and sovereignty
- Network isolation or air-gap requirements
- Identity and access integration
- Backup and recovery ownership
- Inbound and outbound connectivity
- Update and change-control processes
- API and upstream system integration
- Audit and operational responsibilities
Deployment FAQ
Is all chemistry functionality available on premises?
The on-premises deployment is intended to provide the platform's scientific capabilities without requiring a public-cloud dependency.
Does “on premises” automatically mean compliant?
No. Compliance depends on configuration, validation, processes and organisational controls as well as hosting location. These requirements should be established during evaluation.
Can deployment start small?
Yes. Scope can be aligned with the initial workflow and expanded, subject to the agreed architecture and integrations.
